Balancing stones is a mindful creative process which helps to develop many vital qualities.

In Oriental cultures, stones are stacked to form pagoda like structures which embody prayer. In Alaska, dry stone totemic figures called Inukshuk serve as surrogate human presences.

Stonebalance Art is a very specific branch of what is commonly termed "Land Art." It involves the placing of stones on top of each other in ways which appear to defy gravity. With fine tuned awareness we collaborate with local gravity creating an ephemeral composition as temporary and fleeting as nature itself.
